Representatives of the agency were on a working visit to Slovakia
Representatives of the National Environmental Agency visited the Slovak Republic as part of the project “Strengthening Cooperation between the Visegrad Countries and Georgia in the Field of Geological Hazards in Mountainous Regions.”
During the visit, Agency representatives, together with foreign partners, visited municipalities in the Zhilina and Kosiche regions, where they conducted field observations and discussed the causes of geological processes.
The participants toured a cave in Slovakia renowned for its stalactites; additionally, at the headquarters of a Slovak company, the parties presented their respective activities and ongoing projects.
It is worth noting that the Slovak company HES-COMGEO, along with the geological services of the Czech Republic and Poland, are participating in the project—which is supported by the International Visegrad Fund—alongside the National Environmental Agency. International cooperation will facilitate the introduction of modern approaches to the assessment and management of geological hazards in Georgia, the exchange of experience among agencies, and the strengthening of professional ties.
